How to apply
Six steps. If you get stuck at any of them, call the admissions office and someone will walk you through it.
Enrolling for 2026-27?
We are still accepting applications. Connect with the admissions office as soon as possible. To be eligible for Kindergarten, your child must be 5 years old by September 1 of the year they enter.
The process, for 2027-28
Begin with an inquiry
The admissions journey starts with curiosity. Completing the inquiry form connects you with the admissions team, gets you the admissions packet, and makes sure you receive timely updates and next steps.
Visit PS1 on a school tour
A tour is an essential step. Families must submit an inquiry form before registering, and once you have inquired you will receive access to upcoming dates. Tours run on select mornings from 9:15am to 10:45am.
Both parents or guardians, where applicable, are required to attend a tour before the parent interview. An application is not required before touring, and tours are for adults only. Space is limited.
Submit an application
PS1 uses Ravenna as its admissions portal. Create a Ravenna account to start the application.
Submit the application with the $150 non-refundable fee by December 11, 2026. Fee waivers are available for families applying for tuition assistance. Contact Evelyn Cazun in the admissions office with any questions or for a fee waiver request.
Getting to know your family
After the application, a few steps help us build a complete picture: a parent interview, a child visit, and forms from your child's current school. These are scheduled between September and February.
Timeline and decisions
Decisions are emailed on March 12, 2027 at 5:00pm, and responses are due by noon on March 19, 2027. See the full calendar.
Tuition assistance
Admission and tuition assistance are two separate, simultaneous processes. Applications run through Clarity, and the deadline is February 9, 2027. Read about tuition assistance.
