Many voices, one PS1

Parents are valued partners in their child's education and vital contributors to the school itself.

On any given day you will find parents volunteering: assisting with classroom projects, supporting events, or helping with the lunch delivery program.

That hands-on involvement models community stewardship for our children. When parents engage deeply with the school, they show their children how to take ownership and pride in the world around them. Students grow confident expressing themselves and make PS1 their own place to learn.

Those shared experiences also create a network of lasting friendships, weaving families and children into a community that extends well beyond the classroom walls.

The Parents Guild

Every parent in the school is a member. It is the route through which any parent can offer time, energy, talent, ideas, and suggestions.

What it does

Supports the staff and students, builds community, raises funds for the school, and organizes volunteer opportunities in the wider community.

Activities and events are run by committee chairs alongside the Parents Guild Executive Board, which meets monthly at the school and welcomes involvement.
