Elise Loehnen Fissmer joined the board in 2025. She has two sons - one is a PS1 alum and the other is a current student. Elise is a New York Times bestselling author who has written and co-written more than two dozen books (On Our Best Behavior, Choosing Wholeness Over Goodness, True and False Magic) and is the host of the podcast Pulling the Thread. Elise also serves as a consultant to large-scale businesses and sits on multiple for-profit boards. Formerly, Elise was the chief content officer of goop and the editorial projects director of Conde Nast Traveler. Elise holds a B.A. from Yale in English and Fine Arts.
