Christina grew up in Nebraska, attending the University of Nebraska, earning a B.S. in Elementary Education and an M.A. in English. While attending the University of Chicago for an A.M. in Library Science, she just happened to be reading the want-ads in the Los Angeles Times and saw that the Beverly Hills Public Library was looking for a Children's Librarian. She packed up all her books, bid farewell to the ice and snow, and worked at BHPL as the Supervisor of Children's Services for a r-e-a-l-l-y long time. She retired from that position specifically to become the PS1 Librarian and seems to be living happily ever after. If pressed, she would confess that Higglety Pigglety Pop (written and illustrated by Maurice Sendak) is her favorite children's book, but there really are about a million runners-up to the title.
