LiAnne Hall
Teacher
LiAnne is excited to begin her 35th year of teaching at PS1. A passionate educator and lifelong learner, she is committed to creating a collaborative classroom where student engagement, inquiry, challenge, and growth are joyfully supported. She especially values working with Olders students as they round out their elementary experience and prepare for the next steps in their educational journeys. LiAnne holds a Bachelor's degree in Education from Washington University in St. Louis and a Master's from Pepperdine University. She continues to deepen her practice through ongoing professional development, including courses at Columbia Teachers College, UCLA, the IB program, and other educational conferences. Outside the classroom, LiAnne enjoys time with family and friends. She and her late husband raised their three children in Santa Monica - all proud PS1 graduates. Her daughter Avery even returned to work with the administrative team at PS1 for several years. An avid traveler, LiAnne loves planning new adventures and finds joy in exploring museums, historic sites, restaurants, gardens, and live performances - locally, across the country, and abroad.
