Lucia Alcantara-Chibane

Lucia grew up in Princeton, NJ and spent summers in Honduras with family. She fell in love with learning and traveling at an early age. After completing a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education at the University of Maryland, Lucia enjoyed six years of teaching and traveling in Latin America. While working overseas, Lucia spent parts of her summers earning her Master's degree in Education from Framingham State University. She is currently enrolled in a Master's in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University. Lucia moved to Santa Monica in 2008 to work at PS1. Lucia has two sons, both PS1 alumni, who are now in middle and high school. She enjoys reading, camping, traveling, biking, taking classes, learning new languages, and everything ocean.
